Do You Want to Paint a Snowman? (Ages 4-6)

In this class, students will listen to the story, Snowmen at Night, then create their own puff paint snowman.

Class Experience

Students will make and use puffy paint to make a snowman.  Students will use other mediums (such as construction paper, scrapbook paper, or buttons) to decorate their snowman. 
Students will write about what snowmen might do at night.  
No homework is required for this class!

Materials: • Elmer’s Glue • Shaving Cream • Paper/plastic bowl • Spoon • Measuring cup (any size will work; we are working with equal amounts.) • Foam paintbrush • Blue Construction Paper • Buttons (optional) • Construction Paper/Scrapbook Paper • Scissors • Crayons * Pencil • Writing Prompt: My snowman _____________________ at night (provided by Mrs. Tetreault) • Glue stick
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
While there is no inappropriate visuals or language, families may be asked to support in the mixing process, as well as with writing.
I will be reading Snowmen at Night by Caralyn Buehner.  If you like this story, I encourage you to purchase it or borrow it from your local library.
