Description
Class Experience
Students will learn the basic crochet stitch (single crochet), slip stitch, how to create a magic circle, how to attach multiple pieces, and how to finish a crochet piece by weaving in loose ends. Students will also be able to discuss and ask questions with others who share a similar interest.
There will be no homework assigned. However, students will be encouraged to practice outside of the classroom.
4.5 mm Hook - H (hook size will affect the size of the piece) 8ply (DK/Light worsted) acrylic yarn in: - Your choice of color (main body) - white for the snowman, brown for the gingerbread man - Green - Red For the following, I suggest looking on Amazon or your local craft store for the little sampler-sized craft yarns. - Brown (very small amount) - Orange (very small amount) - Black (very small amount - for mouth - yarn or embroidery floss will work) Safety eyes (optional - can be made with felt) size is dependent upon your taste. stuffing (fiberfill) Yarn needle Scissors Sewing pins (optional) Stitch marker (optional)
There is no assessment.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parents may want to supervise the use of scissors.
