Class Experience

Students will discover what a cowpoke (cowboy) does through the reading of the informational book: Yipee Yah: A Book About Cowboys and Cowgirls by Gail Gibbons.

At the class' conclusion, students will be able to name basic cowpoke equipment and tell what the equipment is used for. Language arts skills such as identifying beginning sounds and counting syllables in words will also be incorporated.

Discussion will be encouraged.

If students would like to dress in their western attire, they certainly may do so!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Beth Price and I am a certified teacher for grades Kindergarten through 3rd. I have taught students for over 20 years in a preschool setting, Kindergarten, 1st grade and online ESL classes. I have also home-schooled two of my children in their middle school and high school years.

I enjoy teaching all subjects but my passion is teaching Language Arts, Social Studies and Science. I believe that students learn best when they are actively engaged in a lesson--moving, singing, and participating!

I live in Tennessee with my husband and 2 dogs, and enjoy reading, sewing, gardening and spending time with my children and grandchildren.
