This is an interactive music and dance class to learn the Hula dance. In this one time class students will learn the history of the Hawaiian culture, exploring ukulele music and learning hula dance that is prevalent in island life. In the hula dance we will learn will be sitting and not moving our legs, only using the space we are sitting in. No shoes are required. No stretching required. We will discover the Ukulele instrument and its influence on Hawaiian people. A very interactive part of the class will be focused on the sounds and technique used to play the ukulele songs. Hula Dancing - The art of interpretative dance telling a picture story with body movements. These body movements will tell the story of the song. We will learn and create our own Hula dance as a class. No Ukulele is required.

I am a graduate of Berklee College of Music, playing guitar for 20 years, learning from the best teachers and professors in the world. As a performer on cruise ships and opening for Ky-mani Marley and Kandace Springs I have the ability to share the experience of professional guitar playing.

Teaching all styles to all ages, in group settings as well as individualized lessons. As a music educator I make it easy to understand and learn. As for the guitar, techniques in simple guitar playing to advanced improvisation in jazz are all topics I will cover. In addition chords, reading music, playing in styles like blues, jazz, funk, rock, reggae, folk, country and many more.
