US Grade 3 - 6
In this class students will learn about the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Students will be taught a brief history of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Students will learn why the Constitution and the Bill of Rights were written. Students will be taught the Bill of Rights in a fun and memorable way. The students will learn memory cues, which will help them remember each of the first ten amendments. Students will have a worksheet they can fill out during the class. Students will be given age appropriate examples of how laws effect their daily lives. Then students will be guided in a discussion about how laws effect their lives. Students can ask questions and we will discuss the connection between the Bill of Rights and American laws. Finally, students will play a fun game, "Guess That Amendment". This will help them remember the amendments they have learned in class. Students need no previous knowledge of the Constitution or the Bill of Rights to join this class.
Learning Goals

Hello. I am Tiffany Presson. I am a homeschool mother of 4 children. I have a Bachelors of Science degree in secondary education from Crown College. My college studies were focused in history and American Sign Language interpreting. I also received a Phonetics Reading Instructor's Certificate from Crown College. I have 16 years of teaching experience , in which I have taught grades K5 through 12th. I have taught ESL online since January 2018 and have both my TEFL and TESOL certifications. My favorite subjects to teach are: history, science, phonics and American Sign Language. I enjoy teaching children of all ages. I strive to make learning fun and engaging for my students. Outside of the classroom my interests include: ATV camping with my family, reading and volunteering in my community. I look forward to teaching your child!
