In this one-time music class, we will learn many music and singing fundamentals. Even if you have experience singing or you are brand new, this class is for you!
Class experience
In this fun and active class, students will learn proper posture and prepare to sing with stretches and breathing exercises. We will do some fun vocalizing techniques which help warm up our voices. These two things are important for learning to project our voices. We will learn rhythm and counting beats using the Kodaly method. Students will tap and move along to the music. Students will learn to engage their body, breath, and voice to become confident singers. They will learn how to tap rhythms using the Kodaly method. They will also learn to sing and sign the 8-note Solfege scale. Students will learn vocalizing exercises.
