Teacher expertise and credentials
I’m excited to share my love of hands-on, creative science experiences with young learners. I have over 19 years of experience working with children ages 3–12, both in classroom and virtual learning environments.
I previously founded and operated my own daycare center, where I developed and led creative, age-appropriate curriculum in early childhood education — including nature-based art projects, plant life studies, and simple STEM activities. I also have experience teaching in virtual formats, focusing on fostering curiosity, confidence, and community among young learners.
Terrarium making combines two of my passions: nurturing creativity and exploring the natural world. I have led small group workshops in plant-based crafts, gardening projects, and beginner ecology lessons both in-person and online. I also have a personal love for nature and gardening, and live in Georgia, where I incorporate local plants and ecosystems into my teaching whenever possible.
Because of my background, I design classes that are accessible, sensory-friendly, and supportive of diverse learning styles, including students with special needs.
I can't wait to meet your learner and help them create their very own living garden in a jar!
