Have you ever wanted to make your own book? It is easier than you think! We will go over the basics of paper choice and become comfortable with our materials and talk about basic bookmaking and paper folding techniques before jumping in and trying a few of our own! These techniques will work with ANY paper you have on hand, even thick watercolor or mixed media papers! We will even talk about how you can use recycled papers to create your own collaged creations! Essential Materials: Paper and Scissors (the bigger the paper the better, but any size will work. I will demonstrate both on traditional 8.5x11 letter paper and larger 11x14 sketchbook pages to show the difference) Optional Materials: drawing materials (pencils, pens, markers, colored pencils etc) or painting materials (watercolor paper, brushes, watercolor pencils, etc) extra paper for collaging and a glue stick
