Class Experience

In this course, Learners will learn how to thread a needle, anchor stitches, and create a fun scrunchie.

Learners will learn by example and participate in class through guided discussions. This class will also touch on spatial learning concepts and geometry as we discuss the transformation of a large rectangle into a smaller rectangle, and ultimately into a circle.

Students will leave class with a completed scrunchie.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Whitney and I am so excited to have the opportunity to share my expertise with you! I have a Bachelors degree from Florida State University, and I have over 10 years of teaching experience. I have taught formally in a preschool classroom, and I currently teach ESL online. I have also taught horseback riding, rowing, canning, Sunday school, and I look forward to sharing my classroom with you!

I believe that learning should be FUN! Some times a bit messy, maybe a bit silly, but always full of smiles and laughter. I believe that we remember what we learn best when we remember the experience as a positive one. I also believe that life can be one of the greatest educators. I love to bring real life examples into my classes.

When I am not spending with my family and dogs, I enjoy teaching sewing classes, budgeting classes, science, English, art, and having a fun and educational story time for young learners. Often times, I will bring my dogs to class as teaching tools!

Thank you for viewing my profile, and I hope to see you in class soon!
