The DIY Paper Bag Star is a very unique art/craft project that offers a decorative touch to any child's room and/or art area in the home. Duration of class is 75 mins. This one-time Art class includes the following: 1. Class & Teacher Introduction 2. Step-by-step instructions of lesson taught 3. Class Instruction guided by the Teacher 4. Post Assessment review of the final project of the lesson taught. Teacher style: Lecture, demonstration including, "I do, you do, we do" teaching method. The lesson will be taught via Zoom app with student and teacher engagement. *No additional experienced/knowledge needed

Students will be able to create a DIY Paper Bag Star by applying their colors from the color wheel and enhance their creativity skills.

Parental Guidance
Parental/Legal Guardian Guidance with the use of hazardous materials used for project i.e. scissors and hole puncher with learner is recommended during class as done in previous classes.

Supplies: -Color Markers or Crayons -8-10 upcycled lunch paper bags -Glue stick -Scissors -12" ribbon -Hole punch

My name is Katherine Walker and I am a veteran educator of 18 years. I acquire excellent teaching experience in all subjects and currently hold a Preliminary CTE Credential for the state of CA where I reside.
I am comfortable teaching the following subjects:
English, Math, Social Studies, Science, Business classes i.e. (Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Economics, Finance) and Fashion Design/Merchandising.
My teaching philosophy is very simplistic and I feel that any child is capable of learning once taught/guided with an effective curriculum and lesson plan. My effective teaching methods include effective lesson planning and thorough classroom instruction along with classroom management. As a result, my students are well taught and successfully meet their learning targets.
Personally, I love to travel and I am the youngest of 7 children as well as being the first College Degree Grad. of my immediate family. I look forward to online teaching and helping schools/students fill in the gap during this time and beyond.
