Learning Goals

Sandpaper Numbers
Sandpaper Numbers help children learn number formation and recognition through tactile exploration. By tracing textured digits with their fingers, children develop muscle memory and reinforce their understanding of numerical symbols, building a strong foundation for future math skills. 9 mins of video lessons
Lesson 2:
Number Rods
Number Rods introduce children to the concept of quantity and numerical order. By handling and arranging rods of varying lengths, each representing numbers 1 through 10, children visually and physically grasp the relationship between numbers and their corresponding quantities. 7 mins of video lessons
Lesson 3:
Spindle Box
Spindle Box helps children understand the concept of zero and practice counting. By placing the correct number of spindles into compartments labeled 0-9, children develop number recognition, sequencing skills, and a concrete understanding of quantity and numerical order. 6 mins of video lessons
Lesson 4:
Cards and Counters
Cards and Counters teach children to associate numerals with quantities. Parental Guidance
Parental guidance and support may sometimes be required to supervise young learners. We may need help using various stationary items (i.e., scissors, knife, stapler etc.), or preparing materials before class.
Pre-Requisites
We recommend completing the Learner Resources module before starting any of the self-paced courses for the best learning experience.
Supply List
Materials and/or printables are listed with each corresponding video. Activities will typically require commonly found household items or stationary such as: pencil, eraser, highlighter, scissors, stapler, glue etc.
