Description
Class Experience
In this one-time course students will be crafting items to make a farmer's market for American Girl Dolls. In this class we will be making wood crates and berry baskets for our American Girl Doll farmers market. In this class, student's will craft along with me. This will be a very hands on class. We will be measuring with rulers, and using scissors (or exacto knife) and hot glue. I suggest parents do the hot glue portion (off camera per Outschool policy) so the students don't burn...
This class is taught in English.
Students will practice measuring and using their motor skills while making American Girl doll crafts.
My daughters and I love American Girl, Our Generation, and My Life dolls. However, our budget does not always love them. So we enjoy diy crafting for our dolls to have even more toys to play with. I have been crafting for 25 years and used to run my own crafting business.
Clean up your crafting mess then play with your new crates and boxes or set them up in a scene.
1 file available upon enrollment8 Jumbo Popsicle Sticks 3 Regular Popsicle Sticks Glue Gun/Glue Sticks Exacto Knife 12x12 teal scrapbook paper (berry basket color of your choice really, thicker cardstock is best) Tacky Glue (I use Scotch Quick Drying Tacky Glue, here is the link to Amazon or use the 40% off at Hobby Lobby) https://www.amazon.com/3M-Safety-051131851030-Scotch-MMM6052/dp/B001A3XZB2/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=Scotch+tacky+glue&qid=1589773141&sr=8-3 Print the template I am sending to those enrolled and bring to class. It helps if you cut out one of the basket templates before class to save some time. I used an exacto knife to cut the little holes in the basket.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
This class will be using hot glue and possibly and exacto knife at times. I suggest a parent stay off camera close by to help with these portions so the kids don't hurt themselves. Per Outschool policy adults can not appear on camera in the class, so please do your portion off camera. Thank you.
