I have been fascinated with Henry the VIII and have studied his reign and his wives for years. My daughter and I began researching him and his wives as part of her education 3 years ago, and we haven't stopped! I am excited about sharing what I know and discussing the lesson we can learn from the many wives of Henry VIII
No outside materials are planned. However, I may opt to provide something that is requested during class.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The Henry the VIII story is one that involves extra-marital affairs and violence toward women. I handle these topics as delicately as possible, but they will be discussed. I do believe that children in the prescribed age range can, in general, deal well with discussion on these topics. However, if you know your child to be sensitive to these topics, please use discretion when deciding whether this course is the best choice at this time. I plan to continue offering it as it is a topic I love. So if they miss this session, they can join another one at a later date.
