In this class, learners will use their knowledge of division to problem-solve their way through a space exploration themed escape room. The instructor will facilitate the activities by demonstrating the skills and supporting learners' critical thinking. The class will either work collectively or in smaller groups depending on ho many learners are present. Learners should be familiar with the concepts of dividing up to 4 digits by 1 digit numbers usually learned in grade 4, but do not need to have mastered. Class time can range from 40-55 minutes depending on student progress. This class is most successful with 2 or more learners and may be canceled if there are less than 2 learners.

Supply List
Learners should have something to write on (paper, whiteboard, sticky notes, ground outside) and something to write with (pencil, pen, marker, chalk). This class will require access to a Google Site that will be given at the beginning of class. It is best to use a laptop, desktop, or chomebook. If using a tablet, please have Google Slides and Google Drawings apps installed.

Hello Outschool families! I am thrilled to be returning from a hiatus after working on doctoral studies. I am looking forward to seeing learners in my classroom!
I have taught all grades 3rd-7th over the past 8 years! My certificates in New Jersey and Maryland are in elementary grades K-6, special education grades 1-8, teacher of reading, and middle school social studies grades 4-9.
I am a lifelong learner myself and have earned two Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Liberal Studies from Rowan University. I earned a Master of Education in Learning & Technology, and a Master of Education in Special Education from Western Governors University. I had been working toward a doctoral degree from 2021-2024 before pausing to pursue a Master of Library Science.
