Division doesn't have to be scary! This 10 session (2x per week for 5 weeks) course is designed to help learners truly UNDERSTAND division and be able to divide using the traditional method of long division.

Class Experience

Who is this class for?
*Division Camp for Beginners is designed for learners who have never learned division OR students who need review of division concepts. 
*Students will need to know how to add, subtract, and multiply before they are ready to divide. Knowing multiplication facts is extremely helpful but is NOT required for learning division or my course. I'll show the learners strategies to use for dividing when they do not yet know their multiplication facts.* 

What will be...

Students will learn how to divide using models, pictures, and the traditional long-division method.

I have taught math for 10 years in a public school classroom. Over those 10 years I have worked with students who feel confident in their math abilities as well as students who need extra help and encouragement. It is my strongest belief and passion that ALL students can learn math!

Optional weekly homework will be provided. Parents can choose virtual homework (on Google Classroom) or printable homework assignments.
