Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 4
In this one time class, students will practice their multiplication skills. This will help with division skills. During this class will be playing division BINGO. Before we play BINGO we will practice our multiplication facts. We will do the facts 0-9, with answers up to 108. Students will be given three premade BINGO boards. Each board will be different, they can choose which board they want to use. Students will need some type of "marker" to mark their board. This board will be used more than once, so you will need something that can be removed. Some examples of good "markers" are, kidney beans, uncooked pasta macaroni noodles, m&ms, etc. I will call out a random division problem. Students can use their paper to figure out the answer. Students will need to find the answer on their board and put a "marker" on it. We will play this game several times. At the end of the lesson we will review the multiplication facts again.

In this class:
1. We will introduce ourselves.
2. Students will review their multiplication facts
3. Students will play division BINGO by putting a "marker" on the correct answer to the division problem.
4. We will celebrate each time a student wins.
5. To end class, we will review the multiplication facts one more time.

I have 17 years of experience teaching students. During that time I have tutored students in Elementary math. I have also subbed in a school district. I have 2 teaching degrees; Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, my name is Teacher Carrie. I have been teaching students for 22 years! I started my career with teaching preschool age classes for two years. I then taught middle school to high school age English/ Language Arts for 8 1/2 years. After teaching high school English I then taught a kindergarten tutoring class, which specialized in learning the beginning parts of reading. I was employed for 4 years working with the Kindergarten students. Currently, I teach English as a second language over the computer. I am a very energetic and fun teacher! I like to make learning enjoyable. I strongly believe that a classroom that is engaging and upbeat will help a student become successful in what they are learning. I enjoy spending most of my time outdoors playing ball with my children. I have coached softball and helped coach baseball in the past.
