US Grade 1 - 3
This is an ongoing class that will meet once a week. This course is designed to give students time to practice writing. During each class, students will be given a new topic. They will brainstorm in each class and will be given time to write. Below is a breakdown of each class: Introduction: We will start each class with a brainstorming activity. I will provide the students with the topic, and the students will be given time to brainstorm. We will be using graphic organizers to help us brainstorm. I will model how to fill out the graphic organizer. Writing: In each class, the students will be given time to write. The students will write on the day's topic. As the students are writing, I will be helping students with their writing. After writing, the students will draw a picture to go with their writing. This class provides students with time to brainstorm ideas and practice their writing. It also allows students the opportunity to write on a variety of topics.
