Description
Class Experience
The class will be taught with a combination of in-class explanations and demonstrations and in-class practice sentences. Students will usually be working with the whole class or individually but will occasionally have the chance to work in small groups. By the end of the 12 sessions, students should understand the how to write and check their own compound and complex sentences.
Although most of my classroom experience was in middle school, I have taught a variety of subjects and ages for over 25 years. I have taught diagramming as an important skill for many of those years. I have also now taught several classes on Outschool.
There will be review homework after every class, and students will occassionally be given a sentence to work with. Homework should not take more than 10 minutes.
Students will need paper and pen/pencil. It would be helpful (but not necessary) if they had a notebook for the class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours 45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
