In this lab based class students will learn the basics about density: What is density? How do scientists calculate density? During the class, I will begin with a short discussion on density using a Google slides presentation followed by a video reinforcing what was discussed. Students attending this class do not need to have prior knowledge to participate. After learning and discussing about density, students will participate in a hands-on lab. Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will be using scissors to cut down the straws when contradicting their divers for this activity.
