-The learner will receive direct instruction and participate in a conversation with the teacher about: the importance of conversation skills, examples of times when these skills are beneficial, and how conversation skills affect a person's interactions with others. -Next, the learner will receive instruction about basic social skills necessary in order to begin, enter, maintain, and leave conversations. -Then, the learner will receive a series of practice questions to discuss. These questions will be chosen based on specific needs of the learner, as identified before class begins (ex: school interviews, video-conferencing, in-person social gatherings). -After discussion, the learner will participate in a role-play situation, in which the teacher and learner model a conversation. -Feedback will be given after the role-play to help the learner improve future conversations. *This is a one-on-one course. *Prerequisite: "Intro to Introductions" Outschool course, or communication with teacher via Outschool Conversations to discuss the student's learning needs and situation.
