They will brainstorm in each class and will be given time to write. Please have your student bring a notebook or writing paper to class. This class is designed to give students the opportunity to practice their writing.
I have been teaching in an elementary school for the past eleven years. To be an effective writer, students need both time and practice with their writing. This class provides students with time to brainstorm ideas and practice their writing. It also allows students the opportunity to write on a variety of topics.
There will be no assigned homework in this course. Students are encouraged to share their writing with someone at home.
Students will need the following materials for each class: - Graphic Organizer (This will be posted in our classroom before each class.) - Pencil - Notebook or Writing Paper - Crayons (These are optional.)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
