This is an intro to space exploration, meant for young explorers that want to share an interest in space exploration. We will discuss who Dr. Parker is and why his name is on the probe. Students will discuss the mission of the probe and the things that make this mission unique. We will look at pictures of the probe being built, then watch it launch on top of one...
Students will learn basic facts about the Parker Solar Probe, basic facts about the sun and be inspired to continue their interest in science and space exploration.
40 years of watching launches, from the first shuttle launch to the Falcon Heavy. 13 years of teaching special and general education at the elementary level. Currently hold a Professional level teaching license in special education in the state of Oregon.
A worksheet will be provided to record mission facts.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
