Kinda gross, kinda cool, but a must-see! In this class, we get to watch a brain dissection, take a VR tour around the brain, watch neurons fire, see the brain rewire itself, and see proteins drag happy chemicals around! The brain is soooo cool! If you don't think so, that's because you've never been inside one before! Let me show you how a brain works both inside and out! This class will cover several topics and will hopefully leave students with a unique understanding of the different brain sections, their functions, and how they all work together to make us... us! This is not an "overly complicated" science class. I break down big terms and concepts into bite-sized pieces of information so students can better understand! Class is made up of 4 mini lessons: * Brain dissection: Brain parts and functions (brain stem, cerebellum, cerebral cortex, temporal lobe, frontal lobes, cranial nerves, and the corpus callosum (the band of fibers that holds the two halves of the brain together.) * What are neurons * Proteins and "happy chemicals" * How can you rewire a brain?

Parental Guidance
Parents, the dissection video is not graphic (no blood or body in view) but it is a human brain and looks slightly squishy!

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am currently wrapping up my own psychology degree. As of July 2024, I only have 7 months left until my graduation date. I have so enjoyed my time in school learning about the brain and all its fascinating pieces and now want to share that with others!
I have been tutoring for over 3 years and have homeschooled my own kids from kindergarten into high school (and still going!)
