Class Experience

Students will learn about finger technique on the ukulele, chording, strumming patterns, hand coordination that will be needed for strumming and lastly, learning to sing and play the ukulele at the same time. Each class, there will be a different Disney song that will be chosen for us to learn and we will spend the class focusing on learning that song. Don't be nervous! No experience is required and students are free to join in whatever lesson day they would like to to learn a different song.

I will teach this class by introducing students to chord charts and diagrams, helping students to understand how the ukulele instrument functions and how to create the best sound on this lovely sounding instrument.

I am an enthusiastic teacher and will encourage students to learn song lyrics so that they may connect more with the chosen song they are learning. Learners will interact with me and will have the experience of learning alongside others!

Some examples of songs we will learn:

How Far I'll Go from Moana
Under the Sea from The Little Mermaid
Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride from Lilo and Stitch
A Whole New World from Aladdin

Students will require a tuned ukulele that has strings tuned (from top to bottom) G, C, E & A and a guitar tuner app that can be downloaded onto a phone or tablet.

Also, I will still teach this class no matter how many students are enrolled.
Learning Goals
Students will learn chording and how to read chord diagrams, music coordination, finger technique and strumming on the ukulele. They will also be encouraged to sing along with fun Disney songs that they may already know!
