****Students will use Nearpod for these classes, an interactive program that will keep your travelers engaged. Once enrolled, I will send a document that explains how your traveler can easily use Nearpod with Zoom on one or two devices. About 10 minutes before each class, I will send the link to join Nearpod for that class. Travelers cannot participate in the activities or see the presentation without Nearpod.**** In this ongoing class, we will visit various Disney characters in their home countries to learn all about the countries and their cultures! Travelers will visit the following characters and countries: Week 1: Frozen in Norway Week 2: Brave in Scotland Week 3: Mary Poppins/Peter Pan/101 Dalmatians/Winnie the Pooh/Alice in Wonderland in England Week 4: The Little Mermaid in Denmark Week 5: Snow White/Tangled in Germany Week 6: Cinderella/Sleeping Beauty/Beauty and the Beast/Ratatouille/Aristocats in France Week 7: Luca/Pinocchio in Italy Week 8: Aladdin in Morocco Week 9: The Lion King in Kenya Week 10: Mulan in China Week 11: Raya and the Last Dragon in Vietnam Week 12: Finding Nemo/Dory in Australia Week 13: Moana in the Polynesian Islands (Samoa and Tonga specifically) Week 14: Encanto in Colombia Week 15: Coco in Mexico Week 16: Mickey and Minnie Mouse/The Princess and the Frog/Cars/Toy Story, etc. in the USA (Louisiana and New York specifically) **Classes will start again in week 1 after the last week** 🌎On these trips, we will learn various aspects of each country and its culture such as: where the country is, the flag, the language, typical food, animals, famous monuments, places, and art, holidays/celebrations, history, and more! We will also visit Disney World, Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, and Hong Kong Disneyland! We will use Nearpod with these classes that will have slides, pictures, videos, music, virtual reality, games, and opportunities to draw and color. After each class, there will be a short review to review what we've learned. These classes are designed to learn about the countries and then have time to start/work on the activities (listed below) together, allowing learners time to talk and socialize. All supplies needed are listed in the materials sections and they will also be posted each week for each new country. ✨Students are welcome to come to class wearing their Mickey ears, princess dresses, or other related outfits/accessories.
Learning Goals
Students will learn a bit about Norway, Scotland, England, Denmark, Germany, France, Italy, Morocco, Kenya, China, Vietnam, Australia, the Polynesian Islands, Colombia, Mexico, & the USA! We will see where these places are located, what language they speak there, their flag, famous places, monuments, some traditional foods, animals that live there, celebrations/holidays, and more!

A document will be attached to the welcome message that explains what Nearpod is and how you can use it with Zoom on one or two devices. No subscription to Nearpod is required.
Supply List
- A printable coloring page provided prior to class (optional but recommended) - Something to color with (crayons, colored pencils, or markers) For Norway, Germany, and Mexico: only printables that will be sent each week and the supplies listed above For France: - A white piece of paper for the sunflower activity - Yellow, green, and brown paint for the sunflower activity - A paintbrush and a fork for the sunflower activity (the fork will be put into the paint) For Morocco: - a piece of paper - something to draw with For Australia: - a plate and knife - a slice of white bread - butter/margarine - nonpareil rainbow sprinkles *optional if you don't want your child to participate, online activity will be available
