****Students will use Nearpod for this class, an interactive program that will keep your travelers engaged. Once enrolled, I will send a document that explains how your traveler can easily use Nearpod with Zoom on one or two devices.**** Come and join the king of the jungle on this trip to Kenya! On this trip, we will learn where Kenya is, draw the flag, learn what language they speak there, and what some of the words from the Lion King mean in English such as Simba and hakuna matata. We will learn a bit about lions and watch a video about them, as well as learn about some other animals. We will also see some lions and giraffes in Kenya through virtual reality. We will also learn about some food eaten there such as mandazi and see Mount Kilimanjaro. At the end of every trip, we do a quick review to test the knowledge we have learned together. We will learn through a variety of ways such as coloring, pictures, videos, reading, slides, music, and virtual reality. Make sure you have your passports ready! I can’t wait to see your travelers in Kenya soon! In the materials section, you will find everything you need for this class. Not quite ready to travel to Kenya yet? Hakuna matata! Your travelers can check out one of my other classes where we travel to other countries such as Norway, Italy, Australia, Germany, Morocco, the United States, France, the Polynesian Islands, Vietnam, Mexico, China, and Scotland.
