In this 5 week course, students will learn their sight words and help Princess Anna read a new story every class about each one of her Princess friends. Class will begin with Olaf introducing the sight words to the learners, then they will have a chance to spell each one using Alpha blocks and phonetic blends. Next, Princess Anna will read a story to the students, pausing to let them read the words they just learned. Finally, class will finish with a few minutes of singing time. Learners can request their favorite nursery rhymes or Disney Princess songs and we will all sing together. This is a great course for learners who already have a strong understanding of the letter names, their phonetic sounds, and have been introduced to the concept of word blending. Course structure is as follows: 10/12/20 sight words- count, what, you see 10/14/20 sight words- here, is, he, she, has 10/19/20 sight words- in, the, they, are 10/21/20 sight words- what, a, someone, who, will, with, you 10/26/20 sight words- there, to, do, does, makes, what 10/28/20 sight words- here, is, are, the 11/2/20 sight words- she, can, with, her, do 11/4/20 sight words- what, will, he, she, do, make 11/9/20 sight words- so, do, like, I, says 11/11/20 sight words- look, no, here, they, are

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Ms. Autumn. Thank you for stopping by my profile! I am looking forward to meeting your little learner soon. I teach preschool and kindergarten aged courses. I have been teaching this age group in online and in-person settings for 6 years. I love to help my students learn proper vocal technique and conditioning using warm-ups that broaden the range and tonal quality. During private voice lessons, we will also practice pitch matching and lyric guessing games while having fun! I have a Bachelor of Arts from North Carolina State University with a major in Developmental Psychology.
I believe my teaching style to be very engaging, encouraging, and enthusiastic. I love bringing smiles to my students' faces during class and helping them to feel pride in their accomplishments. This is why I regularly throw out Hatchimals toys as rewards for doing a great job singing!
In my experience teaching, I have seen how music and singing helps children retain information, as well as create a positive and joyful experience. As a professional singer in Las Vegas and Macau, China for six years, I would describe my style of teaching as “edu-taining”. A fun fact about me is that sometimes I like to teach classes from my class A motor home while my family and I travel all over the country! I hope to see your little ones in my classroom soon!
