Description
Class Experience
This class is intended to build knowledge and application tap dance movement and terminology, as well as build both precision and fluency of movement as a developing dancer. Like learning any new skill, effort is key. Each person progresses at their own pace. Regular practice is a must and it will improve skills and expressivity.
30+ years of experience as a Tap Instructor
I will provide dancers with practice videos to use between class meetings.
Tap shoes - Mary Jane or Oxford style (no high heels) Recommended: hard tapping surface, such as a piece of plywood (ideally 2ft x 2ft or larger) *Tap shoes may damage most regular flooring surfaces
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Be sure to create a safe, unobstructed location that allows for freedom of movement. It is recommended that you have a hard tapping surface, such as a piece of plywood (ideally 2ft x 2ft or larger) as tap shoes may damage most regular flooring surfaces.
