During camp students will learn the top five key elements to writing an amazing superhero, villain, and an exciting story for film. -Into to Movies and Story Telling: The first step to making a great movie is writing a great script -Protagonist: How to design and create your main character -Character Arcs: Plot, theme, character flaws and growth -Villains and Sidekicks: How to write a great villain and a supporting character -Engaging the Audience: How to use pacing in story telling
Optional homework is assigned for the first four classes. It is a creative assignment to help students develop their own characters and story ideas.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
5 hours per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
