In this ongoing club, students will follow guided lessons to draw and create characters from Encanto. Students can dress up, bring their dolls, or anything else they would like to share! We will draw step-by-step, and at the end of class everyone will have a chance to have their creation 'spotlighted' to receive positive praise and individual feedback. We will draw our characters in the same order every week - this affords students the ability to master our skills and recall them when we create future characters, or when they want to create their own! Students can keep their microphones on, so they can socialize with me and the other students throughout the class, but it is not required - as some are not comfortable with it. I will be drawing digitally on the computer, so my hand is not in the way, and students can always see what I am doing. My name is Nicole - my students usually call me Ms. Cole. I graduated from ASU Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts with a double major in Design Studies - with a focus in 3D modeling and digital fabrication; and the other in Art Studies - with a focus in fashion and studio art.
I have a passion for the arts and really enjoy creating with clay and drawing in my free time. I love teaching fashion, drawing, and art classes; as well as early learning foundations for preschool and pre-k.
I am a multi-certified lead teacher for toddlers, preschool, and pre-k. I taught preschool and pre-k for five years, and I absolutely loved it!
