Class Experience

In this ongoing class, students will develop and improve their Executive Function skills with the help of their favorite Disney characters. The class will incorporate Disney characters and stories to help students improve their skills in learning new information, remembering and retrieving the information they've learned in the past, and using that information to solve problems in everyday life.

Through various activities and games, this class will initiate a positive growth mindset in students as they master planning, organizing, and managing time and space, all while having fun in a fresh and engaging environment!

The critical Executive Function skills we will cover in this course are as follows:

- Planning/prioritizing (with an understanding of "important" vs. "urgent")
- Organization
- Time Management
- Task initiation
- Working memory
- Self-monitoring (metacognition)
- Flexibility
- Impulse control
- Emotional control
