Class Experience
In this class, students will: be introduced to the magical world of dance, use make-believe imagery, hands-on props, and interactive music to explore basic dance concepts, practice taking turns, sharing, and following directions, play with hula hoops, scarves, wands, and/or musical instruments! In this class, students will: be introduced to the magical world of dance, use make-believe imagery, hands-on props, and interactive music to explore basic dance concepts, practice taking turns, sharing, and following directions, play with hula hoops, scarves, wands, and/or musical instruments!
Coach Lay, Coach Sha, and Coach Ray have years of experience as competitive dancers, high school marching band auxilliary, cheerleaders, recreational gymnasts, cheer coaches, dance coaches, and camp counselors for after school programs and summer camps. We all love working with kids, making them laugh, smile, build confidence and have fun being creative and silly while learning moves and building stamina.
Supplies Needed: 4’ x 4’ clear open space for dance and movement Comfortable clothing that allows free movement and closed toe shoes, preferably sneakers. To minimize risk of injury, please make sure your student comes on time as the warm-up and stretching exercises will be done within the first 10 minutes of each class. Hula hoops, scarves, wands, and/or musical instruments that will help students explore movement and musicality, express, and connect to the characters of their choice from the movie of the week. Love for Disney Music and Characters!
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
