What's included
1 live meeting
40 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this One-Time class, we will learn about how the popular Disney movie Coco portrayed the Mexican holiday ‘Dia de Los Muertos’ also known as, Day of the Dead. We will also discuss the history of the holiday (when and how Day of the Dead started), how it is a bit similar but still different from Halloween, the food and traditional celebrations, and much more! We will also explore what cities in Mexico go big on Day of the Dead celebrations, such as the origin place of Coco! This is a live class where I will interact with students by open discussion, then I present a slideshow (I created) while discussing the main objectives. I love using humor in the classroom. I also teach how important it is to use joint effort as a team. I include various forms of entertainment and demonstrations in my classes. I welcome students of all learning types and levels of knowledge. Students will be able to interact with me anytime during the class by discussion. Students do not need any knowledge of the holiday.
Learning Goals
Students will have a better understanding of the Mexican holiday and its similarities and differences from Halloween.
