Class Experience
In this One-Time class, we will learn about how the popular Disney movie Coco portrayed the Mexican holiday ‘Dia de Los Muertos’ also known as, Day of the Dead. We will also discuss the history of the holiday (when and how Day of the Dead started), how it is a bit similar but still different from Halloween, the food and traditional celebrations, and much more! We will also explore what cities in Mexico go big on Day of the Dead celebrations, such as the origin place of Coco! This is a...
Students will have a better understanding of the Mexican holiday and its similarities and differences from Halloween.
I am of Mexican heritage and have celebrated Day of the Dead my whole life. I will provide an authentic class with accurate information related to this very special Mexican holiday.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
