Description
Class Experience
In this next level chess class, students will play chess in real time with other players; lesson application is highly encouraged! Chess players at this level are confident players, and regularly play chess with consistent outcomes. The teacher will reinforce knowledge about key chess terms; we'll study tactics, and explore openings, middle game positional play, the endgame, and checkmates. This class goes deeper into chess territory by focusing on development, new checkmates, and...
Players will actively increase their chess knowledge and will develop stronger tactical and positional skills.
Students can be assigned online tactics and strategy lessons upon request.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students will have the chance to apply new skills in real-time games weekly.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
