In this class, your child will learn many weird, unique, and interesting facts about the Black Widow Spider. Did you know that the #1 place a bite takes place is in an outhouse? Students will learn specifically where they live, what they eat, their appearance/coloring, what happens if you get bit, and many other random facts. This class is full of engaging facts and will include some interaction with the teacher and classmates. I am excited to discover this very interesting arachnid with your learner.
Learning Goals
Learners will become informed about many unique facts about the Black Widow. As creepy as they seem, they are VERY interesting spiders.

I'm Amanda Fischer and welcome to my classroom. I am a state Certified teacher in Elementary Education K-6 and a K-12 Reading Specialist. Throughout the last ten years I have taught all levels of students ranging from elementary to college.
I hold a BA in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree as a Reading Specialist. I have taught all subject areas, tutored students of multi ages, and helped high school students who read below grade level. I attend professional development classes each year to continue my education.
I absolutely love teaching and building positive relationships with my students. It is my goal to make learning engaging, positive, motivating, safe, and stress free.I strive to meet each students educational goals and needs based on their specific learning style. My area of expertise include reading, writing, goal setting, time management, and communication.
