**Please note that this class is not to teach your learners Spanish but for them to have an immersive experience in the Spanish language. This is a Spanish immersion session for bilingual speaking learners, heritage speakers, or dual-language learners and it is taught in Spanish** In this one-time class children will be learning about Puerto Rico's endangered green parrot. The class will begin with a short story about the green parrot followed by some fun facts about the endangered species. Learners will follow prompts in Spanish to craft their very own green parrot. This is a hands-on learning activity. This will be a fun session where they will make their very own parrot out of a paper plate. The following materials are required for all of the classes: white paper plate, or a pre-cut circle of the same size, crayons, markers, different color construction paper, glue stick, and scissors. Once the enroller has completed this class they will receive a coloring page with fun facts about the Puerto Rican parrot.

Younger learners may need help from a grown-up to cut if they still haven't developed that skill.
Supply List
