In this one-time Spanish class children will learn about Puerto Rico's endangered green parrot and they will craft their very own paper plate parrot.
Class experience
**Please note that this class is not to teach your learners Spanish but for them to have an immersive experience in the Spanish language. This is a Spanish immersion session for bilingual speaking learners, heritage speakers, or dual-language learners and it is taught in Spanish** In this one-time class children will be learning about Puerto Rico's endangered green parrot. I am a native Spanish speaker, author, and Latina educator of Puerto Rican and Ecuadorean heritage. I have a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University del Este in Puerto Rico and a master's degree in Spanish education from the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. My goal is to provide an enriching Spanish language immersive educational experience for my learners.
The following materials are required for all of the classes: white paper plate, or a pre-cut circle of the same size, crayons, markers, different color construction paper, glue stick, and scissors.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Younger learners may need help from a grown-up to cut if they still haven't developed that skill.
