In this one-time course students will learn all about labyrinths throughout history and learn how to use them as a path to peace and mindfulness.
Class experience
Every year on the first Saturday in May thousands of people around the globe participate in World Labyrinth Day as a moving meditation for world peace and celebration of the labyrinth experience. In this class we will learn all about the history of labyrinths, their symbolism, and how they are used as tools to achieve peace and mindfulness. Students will learn the simple steps for following a labyrinth and we will practice "walking" a finger labyrinth together. Finally, we will learn how to...
Students will gain an understanding of labyrinths and their benefits. In this class students will see many beautiful and unique labyrinths from across the world, learn about different cultures, and discover how to use this ancient tool to find peace, calm, and mindfulness on their own.
Handouts will be provided but are not required to have for class.
