In this fun and interactive class, we will learn all about one of fiercest predators to ever live, the Tyrannosaurus Rex! We will learn amazing facts about the T-Rex as we study the Cretaceous Period and their physical traits.

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 1
In this one-time class, students will learn fun and interesting facts about one of the most popular and well known dinosaurs, the Tyrannosaurus Rex! We will begin the class by activating prior knowledge as we discuss what they already know about the T-Rex. We will then read the book, “I’m a T.Rex”. While reading the story, students will be encouraged to interact with the teacher via engaging questioning that will reinforce reading comprehension. We will learn about T-Rex’s teeth, what they...
Students will learn the definition of Cretaceous Period and carnivore. We will learn about the Tyrannosaurus Rex’s teeth, the size of the dinosaur, and where they lived. Reading comprehension Arts and crafts Fine motor skills- cutting . Social Skills- sharing their dinosaur
2 files available upon enrollment-Students will need their mask outline, which should be printed and cut out prior to class (if you do not have access to a printer, the student can still enjoy the class without handouts). - Printable coloring sheet (optional). - Crayons/colored pencils - If the students have a T-Rex toy or another type of dinosaur to bring to class, they are more than welcome! The students will have time at the end of class to share their dinosaurs.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
