Beginner Level
In this class, students will learn the basics of Canva, a simple graphic design program, while designing their very own mandala coloring page! I’ll demonstrate how to perform various tasks while creating my own coloring page. Students are welcome to follow along step-by-step or simply observe the process. By the end of this class, students will have grasped the basics of Canva's essential features. This newfound knowledge will give them the confidence to dive into graphic design exploration independently, armed with the skills learned in our session.
My experience with Canva includes crafting coloring pages, designing book covers, and creating social media marketing images for my small business. Furthermore, as a former college instructor with online teaching experience, I am equipped to effectively engage and educate young learners in an interactive, creative, and enriching environment.
Students should be familiar with basic computer skills like navigating websites, using a mouse, and opening and saving files. Experience with Canva is not required.

Students will need a free Canva account for this class. For kids 13 or younger, their grownup will need to create an account for them. While many Canva images are only accessible through a paid subscription, students will still have plenty of free options to create amazing coloring pages.
