Africa is a continent that has captured our imaginations and draws millions of tourists every year to see animals like lions, elephants and gorillas. It is also home to many reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. This class is taught in presentation style with a Q&A. The class features live animals on screen as well as photos and videos. Students will learn about the environments that the animals call home, what they eat, their role in the ecosystems, and their care as pets. No previous experience or knowledge is needed for this class.
Learning Goals
Students will learn about cold blooded animals from Africa.

Hello!
Since 2008 I have been teaching people of all ages about reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. I am excited to bring our unique programming to OutSchool.
I was one of the stars of SCALED, which aired in 195 Countries on Animal Planet and Discovery Channel. As one of the shows reptile experts, I helped people pick the perfect animal for them and educated about all sorts of incredible creatures.
I have toured across Canada with stage shows and displays and educated hundreds of thousands of people about reptiles.
In Fall of 2021 we are launching the YYC Nature & Education Centre in Calgary, Alberta Canada.
Blended with fun facts and video animal experiences, we teach the important messages of conservation as well as responsible pet ownership.
