Description
Class Experience
Students will learn about the a variety of primates including gorillas, orangutans, ring-tail lemurs, drills, siamangs, white cheeked gibbons, and golden lion tamarins. Learners will learn about the animals' habitat, adaptations, behaviors, and some ways we care for them in the zoo setting.
I have a Bachelors of Science in Biology where I studied zoology, ecology, and animal behavior, among other things. I have worked as a zoo keeper with animals including elephants, lions, giraffes, flamingos, siamangs, lemurs, tortoises, snakes, monkeys, orangutans, amur leopards, and red pandas. I have been a zoo camp instructor as well as an animal, science, and environment educator at Walt Disney World.
There is an optional post-class further learning activity that learner may complete.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Learners will be assessed with discussion questions.
