Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - 1
Beginner - Advanced Level
Students will learn Mandarin language skills, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Key areas include pronunciation, tones, vocabulary, sentence structures, grammar, and conversational fluency.

What topics will you cover?
Basic vocabulary and phrases for everyday use.
Sentence structures and common expressions.
Chinese festivals ( Spring Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival).
Traditions and cultural values.
Practical Scenarios:
Introducing oneself, shopping, traveling, dining, and asking for directions.

How is your class structured?
Warm-Up: Quick review or conversational practice.
Core Lesson: Focus on vocabulary, grammar, or cultural topics.
Interactive Activities: Magic Bag,Games, role-playing, and group discussions.
Application Practice: Listening comprehension, speaking drills, or writing exercises.
Q&A and Wrap-Up: Addressing student questions and summarizing key points.

How will you teach?
 Emphasis on active student participation through discussions, role-plays, and games.
 Use of slides, video clips, and audio recordings for enhanced understanding.

I combine a student-centered approach with interactive and practical teaching methods. My style is engaging, supportive, and adaptive to learners' individual needs, emphasizing cultural connections alongside language skills. I aim to make classes enjoyable while fostering confidence in communication.

How much will learners get to interact with you?
Students will interact with me extensively through:

I  created highly effective lesson plans and performance assessments and received the professional training from the Julia Gabriel Center for Learning from 2010 to 2015. I helped children improve their academic learning and received positive feedback from various parents about my abilities in the classroom. My teaching style demonstrated dedication to fostering a positive learning environment for all children and maximizing individual child performance.

For the past 20 years, as a qualified Manarin teacher, I have been teaching students of different ages. During this time, I have worked with co-workers, as well as directors, to develop curriculums that meets the needs of students. I enjoy tutoring students and helping them to build confidence in their abilities to achieve, both academically and socially. In addition to my teaching style, I also have art and computer skills that are assets when developing school projects.

I am adept in motivating, instructing, and supporting children. My on-the-job experience has afforded me a well-rounded skill set. More specifically, I excel at:

Teaching students public speaking and acting in Mandarin.

Teaching students Chinese traditional martial arts and meditation.

Specific interventions to assist the child who needs special needs in developing age-appropriate self-management skills, such as focusing attention, organization and planning and appropriate participation and interaction across multiple settings.

Utilizing a variety of teaching methods to instruct children.

Creatively developing lesson plans that engage children.

Working with parents to develop solutions to learning difficulties.

I have been teaching Mandarin for 20 years.Currently,I teach children Mandarin in ABC Lab School and have worked there for 3 years.
