Class Experience
In this ongoing class, we will practice recognizing the different letters/sounds in the alphabet. We will then practice segmenting the different sounds we hear in words to build the learner's phonological awareness. This will help the student be more prepared to read. During each class, we will play a letter practice game that allows students to truly master their letters. We will then practice identifying the different sounds in words we hear. Students will learn sound/symbol representation by creating different words and isolating each sound and saying the word. Student will learn to blend as they read so they can decode unknow words.
Read to your child for 15 minutes each day. Ask the following questions: Who was in the story? What was the problem? What was the solution?
