Lions, tigers, and big cats oh my! Get ready to have fun learning about the world's biggest cats (Tigers, Lions, Leopards, Jaguars, Lynx, and Cheetahs). We will learn what makes a big cat "Big" and which of these cats is not considered in the big cat group despite their size! We will learn all about these amazing animals and how they are different than our friendly neighborhood house cat. I love to share my experience of working with both lions and leopards in the zoo as well as amazing facts and traits of their other Big Cat relatives! I We will use slides, personal animal video footage, activities, and discussions to learn about each Big Cat's adaptations, habitat, what it is like to care for them in the zoo, and how we can care about them in the wild. I like to be an energetic, expressive, interactive teacher that tries to cater to each learners' knowledge and personality. Please note that at this time the personal video footage is the same in this class and in the Big Cats day in my Zoo Camp. I hope to see you in class!
