Description

Class Experience

We will practice our observation skills as we learn about tigers, lions, leopards, jaguars, lynx, and cheetahs. Students will learn about their adaptations, habitat, what are their similarities and differences, and how we take care of them in zoo settings.
I have a Bachelors of Science in Biology where I studied zoology, ecology, and animal behavior, among other things. I have worked as a zoo keeper with animals including elephants, lions, giraffes, flamingos, siamangs, lemurs, tortoises, snakes, monkeys, orangutans, amur leopards, and red pandas. I have been a zoo camp instructor as well as an animal, science, and environment educator at Walt Disney World.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
  • Google Slides
Learners comprehension will be assessed with discussion.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
