Directed Drawing Spanish Immersion 3-6 Yr

*No classes April 20-May 27*

In this  beginner (easy) guided drawing class, learners will follow easy step by step directions to draw a new character (animal, animated object, setting) each class. Learners will be encouraged to make each drawing their own by adding details like color, features, names, etc to their own creation.  Learners will be invited to share their work, but this is not required. 

Learners will need :
*A blank piece of paper
*Pencil - eraser
* Crayons, markers or color pencils - which ever they feel more comfortable using. 
*Scissors - we might cut out our art, not required, not used every class. 
*Creativity!!! 

The session will begin with a short introduction from our artists (learners), then learners will ask and answer questions to uncover the drawing of the week. This part is great for listening skills and comprehension in Spanish as well as for students to be immersed in descriptive language which can boost their own language skills. 

Once learners have figured our what the drawing of the week is, I will add my second camera for a better view of the drawing area, this way learners will not only get to follow auditory steps, but only they will get to see the drawing in progress. During this step by step drawing section, learners will get to interact in Spanish by asking or answering questions related to the drawing, their technique or approach to make the drawing their own. 

Students will be encouraged to share their artwork each week with the rest of the class, however, this is not required.

At the end of each class I will ask learners for suggestions on what they would like to draw the next session which will make the class more personal and easy to relate to. The following are some potential topics, but might adjust due to student interest in the current session. The class does not require previous experience, and does not build up based on previous sessions, only previous interest topics- drawings. 


NOTE: This class is great for native speakers of Spanish or those looking for fluency in the Spanish language since the class is taught 100% in Spanish, and students will be asked/ encouraged to share their thoughts in Spanish as well.
