Class Experience

Students will be introduced to and practice 1st grade common core math skills.
I am a certified teacher with over 5 years of experience teaching 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade in public schools. I have my Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I also have a year of experience teaching Kindergarten Readiness to preschool students.

It is my educational philosophy to always make learning fun, hands-on, and engaging!

*long term printables (available upon enrollment) - these will be used regularly in class and should be placed in sleeve protectors or gallon size ziploc bags so that they can be written on with a dry erase marker and re-used. *other printables (from time to time there may be a printable page that we will use in class, these will be uploaded to our classroom 24 hours prior to the first class session of the week that it will be needed) -small white board -dry erase markers -crayons, colored pencils, or washable markers -blank or lined paper or a notebook -pencil -glue -small objects, about 50 (blocks, coins, dried beans, etc) to use for manipulating -child safe scissors *these will only be needed occasionally to cut some printables*
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
On occasion, child safe scissors will be needed to cut printables.
