US Grade 2 - 5
The students will begin class by learning about past progressive tense verbs. Then the students will read short stories about plant-eating dinosaurs from the Cretaceous Period including the ankylosaurus, triceratops, stegosaurus. The students will identify the past progressive tense verbs in the passages. The students will also answer comprehension questions using past progressive verbs. The students will practice using past progressive tense verbs in provided sentences about the dinosaurs. The students will end class by creating their sentences with past progressive tense verbs based on provided pictures of dinosaurs.
