Class Experience
Day 1: Dinosaur Fossils -1 cup salt -1 cup flour -1/2 cup warm water -a bowl -a mixing spoon -a cookie sheet or tray to work on -dinosaurs to make fossils with Day 2: Dinosaur Movements -a space to move around -1/2 paper plate (or cardstock cut into a half circle) -a toilet paper roll cut in half with slits cut in the sides to attach to the plate (2 slits across from each other, that go 1/3 of the way down the roll) -extra cardstock or paper for making heads, tails, and scales -decorating supplies: paint, markers, googly eyes, etc. -scissors -glue or tape Day 3: Dinosaur Eggs -a cake pan or tray to work in -baking soda -water -food coloring -a small bowl for mixing -a spoon for mixing -vinegar in a bowl or cup -a syringe or pipette -small dinosaurs Day 4: Dinosaur Habitats -print off your favorite dinosaur and cut it out -thick paper -art supplies to create your dinosaur habitat (paints, markers, materials from outside, stickers, paper to cut out, and whatever else you want to bring
1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students may need supervision when using scissors.
