Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Students will learn about the Marginocephalian group of dinosaurs.
I studied Paleontology at the University of Alberta under Paleontologist Phil Currie. I have been on several digs with Paleontologist Paul Serreno. I have been mentored by Paleontologist Thomas Holtz Jr. I have docented at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History in their education department since 2019.
No homework will be assigned
Attached is an image gallery of all known specimens in the Marginocephalian family so far.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Some of the topics will include both inter and intra-species violence. Especially when it comes to defending themselves from predators and talking about how some specimens would die.
The sources used will be primarily from the Royal Geological Society. University of Alberta. Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. University of Maryland Geology department, and information provided by various Paleontologists that have agreed to help provide information for the clas.
