Using a little paleo-magic, we'll meet Pablo the baby Velociraptor in this two-part prehistoric adventure and learn all about what his life was like millions of years ago! This "Ultimate Velociraptor Package" combines teacher Carissa Hurt's popular introductory Velociraptor encounter class with a new and exciting...
This class is designed to both educate and entertain young dinosaur enthusiasts. We will learn some fascinating facts about the Velociraptor during our two interactive sessions, including when/where this dinosaur lived, what it ate, how it hunted and used its senses, and much more, making this a great introduction to the Velociraptor genus for curious learners. By using a multi-faceted approach with pictures, facts, fossils, an art project, and interactive, play-based activities with the "live" dinosaur, there's something here to enchant all types of learners.
Carissa Hurt has created educational programs in museums for nearly a decade! Having worked with everything from mammoth bones to mummies, she understands the magic of the past. With an undergraduate degree focusing in archaeology, a Master's in Museum Studies, and a love for dinosaurs, Carissa is well prepared to engage and inspire young students looking to giggle and grow!

40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Both class sessions rely on make-believe, magic, and a willingness to learn from each and every student! Please ensure your learner is ready to use their imagination when meeting Pablo the Velociraptor. Our class will also heavily discuss the Velociraptor's hunting (and therefore killing) abilities, so please use discretion to ensure your student is comfortable engaging with this content.
